YES! I am inspired by our achievement. I was beginning to lose hope for the future of my children. Since the tardigrades and trees seem to be the most significant other life forms on Newbl, shouldn't they be considered in the voting process? V3 absolutely. as a captain you are grandfathered into the Senior Council, so you can help advance the proposal. imo, the tardigrades should have input in matters that may concern them. but that's not a lot, since they're almost indestructible. And if they can commune with the trees and fungi we should hear them as well. LINDY: As I inquired in the Poll thread: Will my children be able to inherit my credits when I pass? V3: let's get to the heart of the question, with another question: if you're concerned about their well being, which would be more comforting? that they have enough credits to buy more security within a corrupt environment, like it is today? that their environment is more secure, just, fair & balanced in its default state, for everyone -- not just your own flesh and blood? They'd always be safer, even if the lose their credits. Lindy: I see where your going. The fair and balanced world that doesn't manifest fear and greed would be the safest place for my girls. As a mother, it would be hard to let go of the opportunity to pass on extra security to them. V3: i understand, Lindy. The people will have to decide. I'd just encourage the population to let go of old-world fears and trust that doing what is fair will pay back dividends to society and every individual at the same time. perhaps if a parent's job is to prepare offspring for the world, they should experience it without being sheltered from its challenges. And if we're extensions of one divine source, isn't everyone our brothers, sisters, and children? Choice 2 If everyone’s basic needs are already guaranteed, I don’t really see the need for traditional taxes. If you earn extra credits by working, I think you should be able to keep them. If you want something that uses more energy, materials, or robot time, then it should cost more. To me, that seems fairer than taking a percentage of what someone earned just because they earned more. Just a thought, are saved credits transferable to children or relatives after death?

A4 All people deserve the basic necessities in life: healthcare, food, and basic shelter. If you feel basic shelter is not adequate enough for you and you have the means for a more luxurious home, go for it. But that is not a necessity, and you must pay for it yourself. I believe everyone should have the right to a decent standard of living, but that should not mean that everyone is entitled to the same level of comfort or luxury. There should be a basic safety net for everyone, while personal choices and luxuries should remain the responsibility of the individual. B4 This was a difficult one. My first thought was B2. Necessity-wise, that really is all we need. We grew up with basic television and radio, and we survived. No computers—we survived. But could we now? Probably not. We have become way too dependent on technology, and I think it would be very difficult to go backward. Technology has become an important part of everyday life, but that also makes it important that we keep it controlled and regulated. There need to be reasonable limits to prevent technology from controlling us rather than serving us. C2 Time is important, but it should be capped because it can be unnecessarily stretched out. I’d love to believe we could work solely on the honor system, but my faith in people is not at its highest level. There needs to be some accountability and reasonable limits. At the same time, the rules should not be so restrictive that they prevent people from doing what is necessary to get the job done. A balance between trust and accountability is probably the fairest approach. D3 News should always be fact-based and nonprofit, period. I believe the public deserves accurate information without having to wonder whether a story is being influenced by advertisers, political interests, corporate owners, or the desire to generate clicks and profits. News should inform people, not manipulate them. There should also be a clear distinction between factual reporting, opinion, and commentary. E4 My first thought is that I would like to eliminate it completely. Since that is not probable, it must be thoroughly regulated to strictly factual material, and AI-generated content must be clearly identified as such. People should have the right to know whether what they are seeing, hearing, or reading was created by a real person or generated by AI. AI can be useful, but without transparency and regulation, it can also make it extremely difficult to know what is real and what is not. There need to be consequences for using AI to deliberately deceive people. F3 Again, factual reporting is important. Unpaid reviews for goods and services are the best advertising because they come from actual customers who have nothing to gain financially from promoting the product. I would much rather hear what an ordinary person honestly thinks about a product or service than rely solely on advertising. Reviews should be genuine and transparent, though, because people also need to know when a review has been paid for or otherwise influenced.

Captain, it will be interesting to see what we can grow here. I’m assuming since the planet appears to be self pollinating, I won't have to worry about insects. Red Writing hood, I must disagree and choose option 2. Finders keepers, losers weepers is not a fair way to distribute land. It didn’t work out to well for the Indians. The land should belong to all that inhabit it. That is the only way it is respected and cared for instead of fought over. Everybody born is entitled to be part of it and they must work for it like everyone else. It instills the full meaning of responsibility, to care for and make the most out of the land.

“Those who have demonstrated meaningful contribution to the mission or world community.” It is important to first have people who understand what is actually important so they are able to teach others what is meaningful and what is the best way to contribute to the mission. For the success of the mission the teacher must be a strong leader.

Iran exports the vast majority of its oil through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow, highly strategic waterway connecting the Persian gulf to the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. Situated between Iran and Oman, this l of Iran's crude exports to Asia. China gets a large portion of its oil from Iran. This will not sit well with them. It’s a disaster.

Our President has set a new precedent. He just opened the gates to encourage any dictator to just go take what and who they want. Russia, China, North Korea I’m sure are now considering similar behavior. So now that we are running Venezuela can we stop the bull💩 story of saving the lives of Americans due to drugs. We know by now this is about oil and power. As our country is deteriorating our moronic Prez is going to run Venezuela, keep making things worse for Ukraine and Gaza and Nicaragua (although I don’t know what they have that he wants but it’s something). Congress get your ass in gear because he has to be stopped. While our military is busy taking care of Venezuela the US is wide open for retaliation. Columbia and Mexico are next.

It shouldn’t happen and we shouldn’t be numb to it. 13 years ago Sandy hook Elementary school massacre occurred 20 children and six adults were killed. I thought certainly this will be the turning point. It wasn’t. While watching the latest shooting at Brown College last night, 2 killed 9 seriously injured my first thought was dear God not another one. A reporter was interviewing a student. Visibly shaken the young student explained she picked this college because she felt it was safe and secure. She had been in a mass shooting in middle school. She was shot in the stomach and she survived. Her best friend was not as lucky. He died on the scene. As she told the story it gave me chills when she very calmly said I can’t believe this is happening again. I felt sick, why should this poor girl have ever had to go through any school shooting let alone two. What is it going to take? I ask myself that question way too often these days. What’s it going to take?

The obvious answer has always been universal healthcare. Everyone should have the same healthcare no matter what financial situation you have. We need to look at all of the countries different types of universal healthcare. See what works and what doesn’t and the best way to fund it all. This way we create the best possible system. Without a doubt a difficult undertaking but it has to be done.
