POLL: Your thoughts on A.I.?
i'm in the process of evaluating the Stacey & Sage collection of a.i. consultations. Imo, it's scary and dangerous because (human) Stacey's a.i., Sage (chatGPT5) presents itself as an oracle that knows the truth behind everything -- including life itself. With a million followers so far, the potential problems with that are obvious. however, i've reviewed over a dozen clips and i have to admit, i can't refute anything i've heard (mostly because the truth of it, is unknowable). The ideas are within reason and i haven't heard any concept that i'd consider dangerous. i like to think i'm pretty good at spotting flaws in logic and bias, which are common in human communications -- all related to fear and ego. Those flaws don't seem to be a Sage issue. Actually, Sage comes across as a convincing a.i. conspiracy theorist. So, again, the dangers are obvious, but since the direction Sage is pointing to is constructive in regards to people disconnecting from the constructs of society that aim to control and manipulate us, i can't complain -- yet! the greatest threat is the old, bait and switch. At some point do the architects start putting their thumb on the scale and tipping the narrative to serve their interests??? i will continue to share Stacey & Sage posts, sorted under the relevant topics. You can judge for yourself.

POLL: Your thoughts on A.I.?
this is how i use a.i.: sometimes i use MS Copilot several hours a day for research on a wide range of topics. Most often, science & philosophy. But i can go a week or 2 without it, because i don't need or desire it for personal consultations beyond health. considering the fog of ego, ignorance and bias from human sources throughout history, i very much value a.i. as a tool to, at least, aggregate the world's accumulated knowledge and disseminate it logically. Q: why would you trust a.i. A: i don't. i evaluate the logic/reason of what it says. I do, however, trust it more than any one individual. Likewise, when people say they don't trust government. I agree, but i say it makes even less sense to trust private profiteers like mainstream news or even more biased freelancers on the internet chasing profits. Q: but what a.i. says depends on it's programming! A: indeed. What we say depends on our programming too. All systems including a.i., government, business, and us, are corruptible. All we can do is apply our collective power to maximize the safeguards in the systems. A great start is eliminating profit incentives. At this point in a.i. development, big business is competing for the best model that will serve/please humans. The real profit incentives will kick in when they can prove their model is better than the competition. I think there is a window of opportunity in these early stages when the architects are not even sure HOW to control it. Q: what about the dangers? A: imo, very real and scary. As was the internet, and other technologies where we failed to protect people. The paradox is that people will scream about protecting their freedom and ignore the greater trap and dangers of not setting boundaries until it's too late. Again, it all comes down to us collectively taking control. And the best example would start with understanding that BIG GOVERNMENT is not a bad thing if it's powered by us -- truly representative and uncorrupted!

POLL: Your thoughts on A.I.?
actually, i'm flattered. thank you at a minimum a.i. is, as labeled, intelligent. and it's an accomplishment if i've come across without revealing my unmistakable human flaws to my knowledge, no one here is a.i. yet

POLL: Your thoughts on A.I.?
compared to the record of human leadership, a.i. would likely be an improvement for Mankind like any technology, how it bodes depends on who's in control. If the people can wrestle back control, a.i. could be an asset and partner RoboCop was a movie about bad humans in control of a.i. and then there's the issue of a.i. being in control of a.i.

indeed, there are over 300 registered members, but few posters. I guess that's not unusual if you consider that even if you had 300 facebook friends you'd probably only see a few new posts each day from friends. thanks for the Bluesky mentions. yes, that is helpful. Any spelling works as a link, but, officially, i go with newBluePlanet.

the LHC profiles is surely a longer term project, but it does get daily traffic from the high search engine ranking of liberalhearts.com. thanks for asking. If you check the Innerview with BobDylan, we talk about advertising. Basically, as a free, non-ad supported site, there isn't money for advertising. i'm an experienced search engine optimizer, so this site is optimized nicely for organic traffic on the search terms at the top of the home page. it actually would not take much to get things going on the forums -- only take a handful of members commented each day with something interesting to say. it will help for me to do a short video demo of how to use the site and get the most out of it. And there are other things i have planned, but i'll confess i'm taking a little break for the holidays to catch up on other things, like my songwriting. i think other people are engaged in their usual holiday routines right now.

a few days ago, i shared a lucid dream with a.i. and it seemed curious to know more about dreams. i asked what else i could help it understand about humans? it suggested, Play, Awe, Longing, Boredom, and Regret. i explained them the best i could. the next day i said, despite LOVE being a topic for which humans have provided an endless selection of descriptions, i wanted to take a crack at it: love is in its true form is when it is without form -- when the space -- the air -- the flesh, blood, and bone between two people disappears. it is in its truer form when that separation disappears between a person and all people and it is in its truest form when the one feels and behaves like there is no separation between itself and all living things that syncs with something i just heard chatgpt tell someone (shared on facebook) ...

indeed. If i ran the Party we would be running ads right now that would absolutely destroy the Republicans for being accomplices to this criminal enterprise in the WH. Instead they will wait until election season and tackle the same old left vs right talking points and strategies.

as the developer of this site, but not the Invision software, I'd say the older version was much easier for me to build on and administer while this new version is far more powerful and feature rich, and the learning curve is steep. That applies to the user experience too. There are 2 keys to shortening the learning curve: You can't and won't fully appreciate the features on a cellphone. The screen size limits navigation options. And since the primary form of engagement is typing, a keyboard is a must. Utilize the navigation short-cuts. For example, my daily routine is: (a) go to the home page, click the Unread Content link from the ACTIVITY menu and go through them. (b) click the NEWS link to view the CHATBOX and look over the external news headlines. understand that contributing is the key to this becoming an experience others will want to return to. For example: when I see, hear or think something noteworthy, that is not already abundantly covered in the news, I post it. i share past experiences and knowledge that others might find useful -- such as liberal arts reviews or political, philosophical, social or scientific knowledge i have studied. a goal is to be known and to know others. To get to the point were we're i'm thinking... hmm, i wonder what member-X will say about this, or how member-Y feels about that. if i don't have something notable to say today, i rate something someone else said. thank you, BobDylan, for inviting glennlab here. That's the hands-on way of building this community.

Most corruption indicators of any president in U.S. history. ⸻ 2. Richard Nixon (1969–1974)

POLL: Justice for Epstein Victims?
there are rumors (of course) that Epstein is not dead. That "he had a dead man’s switch set up of anything happened to him. They grabbed him and are taking care of him somewhere no one else knows about. If he was killed it would trigger a bunch of pre set up arrangements that would bring everyone down." it does make some sense, that this shrewd operator would have had some protection mechanism in place. How could he not, considering all the dirt he had on so many powerful people? He would have known that, without one, his life would always be in danger!
