MTG Resigning: WTF?
Wow I stopped watching the news for 2 hours and MTG resigns. That makes no sense at all. What did the Lyin King do this time, bribery or sick threats. He really does have a way with women. I was just starting to not hate her. This makes no sense because she had to know disagreeing with him was going to make him angry. I think saying she would read the names was a very dangerous thing to say out loud. She should have kept it quiet.

POLL: Epstein damage: How bad?
It matters because we need to hear it all. So many powerful men in business, banking, technology and politics are involved. International royalty and prime ministers. THE LYIN' KING of course doesn’t want his part to come out but he is part of a very large group. They all need to finally pay for what they have done.

POLL: Is the USA ready for a woman president?
“We ain’t ready” I do agree. I don’t think the US is ready to accept a female President. Until the majority of men consider women to be their intellectual equals, it’s not going to happen. We have a way to go. That being said, I do think Kamala Harris actually did win. Unfortunately, it was solely for the reason of trying to keep THE LYIN' KING from winning. She was not necessarily the best candidate but our only choice that was better than the lying king. I do think eventually we will have a woman President just not 2028.

The Lyin' King Thread
I don’t know why I am consistently shocked every time I hear the Piggy Prez be so incredibly disrespectful and condescending to reporters. He is especially awful to the women. He’s behavior yesterday to reporter Mary Bruce made me sick. She was so brave to ask the Saudi Prince about Jamal Kashoggi. THE LYIN' KING unleashed his fury on her. Called insubordinate, disrespectful to his guest, a terrible reporter from a terrible Station and so on. I realize he is becoming completely unhinged but it’s truly hard for me to understand how any of his female voters could ever have considered him anything but a misogynistic narcissist, who absolutely has no respect for women whatsoever. Sorry for the rant. I’m pissed.

Net Outage Emergency Plan
The large-scale Northeast blackout that caused significant multi-day disruptions occurred on August 14, 2003. A cascading failure starting in Ohio knocked out power for about 50 million people across eight U.S. states and parts of Canada, with power taking as long as two days to be fully restored for some areas. It was very scary and isolating. While it only lasted a few days, it was shocking to realize how much we are completely dependent on electrical power. I definitely believe it’s not a matter of if but of when. A cyber attack would be devastating and we need to be as prepared as possible. This was an informative article offering several affordable options for backup power. This is something we always put off. Thanks to this administration the sooner we are prepared the better.

Universal Healthcare
The obvious answer has always been universal healthcare. Everyone should have the same healthcare no matter what financial situation you have. We need to look at all of the countries different types of universal healthcare. See what works and what doesn’t and the best way to fund it all. This way we create the best possible system. Without a doubt a difficult undertaking but it has to be done.

Was the shutdown worth it?
Hi Jimhilltop. Unfortunately, With the possible exception of definite proof of the President’s physical involvement in the Epstein files nothing will change their minds. Their minds are so completely brainwashed after all these years. They want a white wealthy Christian country period. MAGA is based on deep hatred, violence, bigotry and discrimination against anyone who does not fit the mold. That being said normal Republicans who believed the President’s campaign promises are now seeing the truth. We have to win the midterms to survive the next 3 years. We also need to go after the creators of project 2025 and the Heritage foundation. They are the people pulling the strings.

Was the shutdown worth it?
Hi Ben. Welcome to Newbl. Truly I feel for all of the federal workers not getting paid and all of the people not getting food money. It's especially difficult this time of year with the holidays upon us. I feel like we finally had some leverage to work with. It would have at least secured ACA . I fear the whole shutdown was for nothing and people suffered needlessly if we get nothing out of it. Unfortunately, we can only assume at this point the Republicans will renege on their promise, as we have learned their promises are just lies to advance whatever outcome they desire. We definitely have more fighting to do. I believe there will be a huge protest at the Capital on 11/22 thru 11/25. On 11/28 the Blackout begins and ends on 12/5. No Black Friday or Cyber Monday participation. (lol that will be difficult but I will do my part). You are right, our focus now has to be on winning the midterms. It's our only hope at this point. Although, I am hoping for an opening of the Epstein Files Christmas miracle.

Was the shutdown worth it?
Hi Constance. You most definitely are not wrong. The people of this country were willing to give up their paychecks and food money to be able to keep their healthcare. A position we never should have been put in to begin with. We finally had some leverage over the Republicans only to give it up for absolutely nothing.

Lol every night is a bumpy night! What shall await us in the morning?

Was the shutdown worth it?
To be honest I think the majority of people are sick of both parties. With the exception of true MAGA ‘s who are completely hopeless, we have all have had enough of this insanity. Schumer needs to go and we need someone spectacular to run in 2028. Otherwise, we will all be Independents.

Was the shutdown worth it?
I’m so aggravated. After Election Day I felt a sense of hope and optimism. Today disgust. This whole shutdown was a huge waste. People had to suffer for absolutely nothing. It was completely pointless. With our party it’s always one step forward and two steps back. The Republicans now know they can hold the American people hostage till they get what they want. They have just blatantly proved they don’t give a damn about us. Why would we, or how could we believe anything they promise. I can’t think of anything they haven’t lied about. What are your thoughts?

The Lyin' King Thread
Very true. It’s impossible to not be affected. It’s been 10 years of hearing about him even when he wasn’t President. It’s exhausting. I do feel the tide is turning and I can’t wait for the day we all get to see him go down and the circus of an administration go down with him.

Can we do this Blackout?
Welcome to all the newbl newbies! 💫 Hard to believe winter is almost here. I’m guessing we won’t be seeing too many protests unless you’re lucky enough to live in a warm-weather state. What we can do is keep writing letters to our representatives. The 50501 Movement is organizing a spending boycott from November 28 – December 5. Yes, it’s a tough one. This is during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With the government shutdown and SNAP delays, this makes a hard time even harder. We all love a good sale, especially if you have kids. Try shopping before or after those dates. Support local businesses during the boycott week instead. 🛍️ It might even make the holidays less stressful, less expensive, and more about time with family and friends. ❤️ The past ten months have shown us just how much we’ve taken for granted. It’s time to remind big business that we are in control — not the other way around. If you can, donate toys or food to help those struggling this season. Let’s stand together, follow the boycott, and keep pushing forward. 🌟 Here’s to a new year filled with hope, and to giving the midterms our full effort. May we all find new meaning in this holiday season. ❤️

The Lyin' King Thread
Yes, you really are being too critical. For a demented, decrepit, narcissistic and pathetic excuse of a man, look at all he has accomplished! His biggest accomplishment and our biggest failure is he is still a free man.

FAQ: Homosexuality
The Supreme Court will meet behind closed doors Friday to consider a longshot bid to overturn its decade-old same-sex marriage precedent, an appeal that is churning fear among some LGBTQ advocates even though the justices themselves have repeatedly signaled little appetite for reopening the landmark decision.

POLL: Should the Right Secede?
DEAR RED STATES… WE’RE LEAVING Dear Red States, We’ve decided we’re leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we’re taking the other Blue States with us. That includes Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, most of the Northeast, and our favorite swing-flirts like Michigan and Pennsylvania when they behave. We’ll call ourselves The United States of Sanity. You can keep Mar-a-Lago. Here’s the split: • We get stem-cell research. You get stemware from Branson gift shops. • We get the Statue of Liberty. You get the world’s largest ball of twine. • We get Apple, Microsoft, Google, and you get MyPillow. • We get Hollywood. You get Duck Dynasty reruns. Resources: • We control most of the venture capital, the Ivy League, the West Coast tech corridor, the Great Lakes (about 84% of North America’s surface fresh water), and 95% of U.S. wine production. • You get coal, cattle, and almost all the tornadoes. • Pineapples? Hawaii. Lettuce? California. Cheese? Sorry, Wisconsin votes blue more often than not, so it’s coming with us. Taxes and money: • On average, blue states send more to Washington than they get back. Red states take in more federal dollars than they pay. So when we “split the check,” you’ll be picking up your own tab for the first time in decades. Good luck with that. Culture: • Blue states have lower divorce rates and higher life expectancy. Red states have more churches per square mile, but somehow not more stable marriages. • In recent polls, around 40% of Republicans still doubt evolution, and a stubborn minority think Saddam helped with 9/11. Y’all can keep those history books. • We get Broadway. You get Branson, which is kind of Broadway if it ran on casseroles and Precious Moments figurines. Weather: • Hurricanes? You’ll still get clobbered in Florida and Texas. • Mosquitoes? Honestly, they’re bipartisan — but they seem happier in your humidity. Peace out, —The Blue States 🥂💻🌊

Election 2025: Implications
Last night was very encouraging. That being said, the timing was perfect. The Lyin' King and his lying administration decided to purposely withhold Snap money even though it was court ordered. At the same time throwing himself of all things, a Gatsby party while also posting endless pictures of his completely marble new bathroom. In answer to question one, is it possible they could rig it? I don't put ANYTHING passed this administration. I'm not worried about the physical intimidation such as poll intimidation. I am deeply concerned about polling machine manipulation. If there is anyway to fix the election which they are blatantly already doing, we have a year to figure out how to stop him. Hopefully, a blue tsunami will help stop tampering. We are beginning to see and especially after last night some Republicans are realizing there chances of being reelected are going to be very slim and maybe that will override THE LYIN' KING intimidation so they can do what they already know is the right thing to do.. The Election of Zohran Mamdani should be the biggest voice of change. He ran a great campaign and truly won over young voters. The Lyin' King is already trying to get him deported. Mamdani seems ready to take on the President. He needs to not poke the bear. The President is already threating to withhold funding to NY. Hopefully, Mamdani will pick a very knowledgeable administration to back him. He already has the endorsement of the governor and they will have to work closely together to handle the President. I think the Democrat's will embrace change because they realize they have no choice. The old way of thinking and running campaigns, put us in this position. Hopefully, they will join forces and support each other in positive change going forward. They must!!!

The Alternate Story: Collapse
“Living in a society” Matthew Cooke you are right. People are so afraid of words such as socialism and communism and have no idea what they really mean. Unfortunately, we are so far from “living in a society” I can’t imagine we will be able to redeem some essence of peace and caring for each other. The saddest part is we all want the same things. A place to live, food to sustain us, an education, a living wage and people we care about. The amount of wealth and greed is so completely out of control. To have people going hungry so the rich can keep raking it in, is inhumane. How much money is enough? Is it the thrill of a race to be the richest person in America no matter how many people you have to destroy. Maybe I’m naive but none of these billionaires seem happy or content. They will never know the true feeling of peace or appreciation for any place or person. For the sake of our children and grandchildren this President and administration have to be stopped and punished. Only then we can start to rebuild and be living in a decent society.

POLL: Should celebs speak out?
I applaud the celebrities that speak out and donate to causes they believe in. These are not normal times. When you have billionaires buying elections, we need all the help we can get. As for JK Rowling, I never was a Harry Potter fan but my daughter was. She was extremely disappointed in Rowling as a person but respects her writing.

thoughts on Bill Maher
I miss George Carlin. That speech could have been spoken today. I know it has always been this way but we have reached new heights of greed and power. They don’t even bother to hide it anymore. It’s a huge FU to the American people. I wish George Carlin was alive. His material could basically write itself as he reminds us I told you so.

POLL: Should nBP invite the Right?
Hi Marguerite, welcome to NBP. I have had some bad interactions with the right as well. I do think within the next few weeks the tides will hopefully begin to turn. I don’t think the Lyin King realizes or perhaps he really doesn’t care that he is hurting his base as much as he is hurting us. If we can interact with right, speaking civilly on both sides maybe we can enlighten them to the truth. At this point, we need all the votes we can get for the midterms.
