A ? about the Liberal Hearts Club.... Once we make a profile, how can we delete or edit it?

Bob, among the edit options, you can delete or edit a profile via the blue "Actions" button at the bottom. image.png

I am 66 yo, and my dating age range is 56-73, so I would also like to post in the over 70 subcategory.

If you are 66 you should only post your profile in the 61-70 age subcategory. It serves no useful purpose to post in any category that doesn't describe YOU. Feel free to look in the 70 range category for someone else's profile.

Is there a character limit on the "Comments" field that may prevent me from submitting my profile?

Yes. 4,000 characters.

Also don't forget that it takes 24 hours for your membership to be upgraded to being able to view profiles.

I got the error message before I could save my profile

if, when you click save, it doesn't let you -- look at all the fields. One is probably highlighted in red with an error message because it is a "required" field, the data you are trying to enter is not in the right format, or the "Comments" field is over 4,000 characters.

I'd like to go up/down on the age bracket for meeting new people...I’m surprised this site puts limits on who you can befriend.

you CAN go up/down in age brackets. There are no limits. You are mixing up VIEWING posts with POSTING YOUR profile. Posting your profile requires you to select your current age range. You can view and respond to a club profile in any age range.

Also, are there conservatives on the liberal hearts side of this platform? ...I thought the reason for this being “liberal hearts” was to make it a safe space.

Though conservatives can sign up to post in the main Newbl discussion forums, only members who designate that their politics lean "left" or "very left" are eligible to join the Liberal Hearts Club AND they must post their own club profile before they can view other club profiles. Do keep in mind, however, that no online social network or singles site should be considered a "safe space." Mingling with the public on or offline is always a risk.

...my other ?, to be answered by you, is what your plans are for advertising or promoting the site and the Liberal Hearts Club, besides word of mouth, so that most of us might eventually have local dating options thru the site...

that's a million dollar question, BD. It deserves a detailed answer -- in the interview room

Wanted to let V3, as well as the other members know, that the only remaining issue I've run into with the Liberal Hearts Club profiles process, is that when I try to edit my profile, using the Actions button, I still can't get it to allow me to select multiple choices in the section with the listings of multiple choices, for things like fav music, fav type of people, etc.. Maybe it's because I'm using a laptop, instead of a smartphone, but every time I select one choice for a particular profile category, it won't let me go on and add another choice, so I end up with only one selection for each one. I don't want to add any more info to my comment section of my dating profile, which is already close to the max number of characters, but I see no other way, right now, to add these additional choices to my profile, for people who are viewing it. Anybody else having this issue? Because I have seen other dating profiles that did have multiple choices included for these multiple choice ?s.

Maybe there have been some changes made to the profile software, so that if I made a new profile from scratch, the system would allow me to have those multiple choices on the ?s I mentioned?

the method for selecting multiple choices (for profile fields that allow them), does differ depending on the device. With a mouse on a PC or laptop the method is the same.

PC or Laptop:
On Windows use standard commands. Press Control Key + mouse click to select multiple choices.

Cellphone:
Depends on your device and operating system. I recommend asking A.I. based on your device.

let me know if you still have a problem

Thanks V3, I'll try that method on my laptop. Would I be pressing Control Key and clicking the mouse at the same time for this, right? Hey, it worked. I never knew about using those two things together to get that function. The old dog actually learned a new trick, lol... When it comes to tech and computer stuff, I really do need clear, complete simple instructions, that treat me like a dim-witted six year old..... While outside of computer and tech stuff, I'm actually a fairly bright person...
