3001: A Space Colonoscopy
3001: A Space Colonoscopy

An Interactive Newbl NovellaChapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | | Bonus EndingsBy the year 3000, it is confirmed that black holes are portals where spacetime folds like a cosmic colon. Since energy can neither be created or destroyed, what goes in is passed through and dumped somewhere else. Usually, in a day or two. The nearest black hole is discovered within reach. So begins this experiment to boldly go where few men have gone before. To explore the inner reaches of his deepest, darkest regions. To probe. To illuminate. Perhaps, to come out tainted, but learned. Purged of dangerous ideas spreading like cancerous polyps within. The mission must avoid man's past, indelicate bumblings. So, maybe the thrust of the thing is to go where a modern woman might dare go. Co-piloting the flotilla of starships on this one-year mission will be a selection of women and artificial intelligence models --participating in debate and polls.DESTINATION: Planet NewblThe year is 3001. Like countless other planets over eons, the technical evolution of earth's most advanced life-forms outpaced their ethical evolution. Instead of caring for mother earth, we plundered her. Human extinction appears inevitable. A dozen spaceships are being loaded for the journey to NEWBL, the galaxy's nearest life-sustainable, blue water, blue skied planet.to be continued--unfolded. For as long as it takes for the new colony to be stabilized...STORY KEYWhite text = a regular forum discussion post or replyBLUE TEXT= the story narrativePolls that shape the mission are linked to.Each page (of 12 posts) = a story chapter

No King's Day: Get Froggy!
No King's Day: Get Froggy!

despite the media turning a blind eye, it's obvious America is being shaped into a regressive, repressive, dictatorship. We can not give this regime any excuse to escalate gestapo tactics. Portland protestors showed us how. Sing, dance, and get froggy on the streets. Make it a love fest.i suggest we wear light, fun costumes -- preferably with our face exposed to prove we're not trying to hide our identity and don't pose any danger (which should be obvious if you're in a full blown body suit preventing you from fighting, handling a weapon or running).be froggy in regards to free speech on this site too. The goal is to amplify our voices. But search engines are penalizing sites with foul or risque language. This site has word-filters in place to help maintain meaning. let's emphasize love over hate and peace over brute force. Yeah, i guess i'm suggesting we should get a little hippy, as well as froggy.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16GRXnCy22/

FAQ: Homosexuality
FAQ: Homosexuality

QUESTION: IS HOMOSEXUALITY "UNNATURAL?"Homosexuality is not uncommon in nature. Though there are cases of asexual reproduction, HETERO-sexual behavior is simply nature's tool for species re-population. Regardless, there is nothing more natural than the tactile exchange of affection between any two people regardless of what kind of parts they're equipped with.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals"Geir Soeli, the project leader of an OSLO museum exhibit entitled "Against Nature," told Reuters: "Homosexuality has been observed for more than 1,500 animal species"..."The sexual urge is strong in all animals. ... It's a part of life, it's fun to have sex," Soeli said of the reasons for homosexuality or bisexuality among animals."..."Greek philosopher Aristotle noted apparent homosexual behavior among hyenas 2,300 years ago"

Bible Study
Bible Study

I'm a big fan of the central character. I was raised to marvel at his profound wisdom, lessons of compassion, humility and self-sacrifice that still shape my life. Some Jesus quotes make more sense than anything i've every heard. Some don't make any sense at all. Either way, the story of Jesus is the reason the Bible is best selling book of all time!Who wrote it?as historian Reza Aslan points out, "everything written in the new testament about Jesus was written by people who didn't know Jesus when he was alive."the writers were not the apostles. as was very common in the day, they wrote under the names of the apostles as a tribute to them. the term for this kind of writing is "pseud-epigraphy" The apostles were either too old or dead at the time of the writings. furthermore, they were likely incapable of it--illiterate peasants who could neither read or write.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bart-d-ehrman/the-bible-telling-lies-to_b_840301.htmlgood Christian scholars of the Bible, including the top Protestant and Catholic scholars of America, will tell you that the Bible is full of lies, even if they refuse to use the term. And here is the truth: Many of the books of the New Testament were written by people who lied about their identity, claiming to be a famous apostle -- Peter, Paul or James ...Most scholars will tell you that whereas seven of the 13 letters that go under Paul's name are his, the other six are not.imagine Martin Luther King speaking to a small group of poor and illiterate people with no audio or video recording, and several people who weren't there quoting his words at least 50 years or more later. Then, those words being hand-written, copied and recopied by hand for generations and edited by Church leaders with their own agendas, while being translated into different languages.recollecting the "I Have A Dream" speech would be about as credible as trying to recall the details of a sleeping dream.

boycott as a daily voting system
boycott as a daily voting system

"the Revolution Will Not Be Televised" -- It Will Be Scannedthere used to be a site called buycott.com, but it does not exist anymore. It had a phone app you could use to scan a product before buying it. It would check a database to determine the profiting corporation behind the product and let you know the companies political profile.Consider the potential of educated consumers instantly pulling up that info. It makes the concept of "voting with your wallet" a practical reality. In today's world of ever increasing corporate power and decreasing democracy, consumer's purchasing power is our greatest strength and source of influence.

Election Reform: The Prime Directive
Election Reform: The Prime Directive

Americans will look back one bright blue day and say, "I can't believe we used to let money control our elections and politicians!" As is, the corruption continues because:the politicians in office won the money game and won't bite the hand that feeds them.mainstream media won't call it out. They sell ad airtime to big spenders--us, trying to compete with big biz money.too many of us accept the misconception that the interests of big biz and us are compatible. Because we have a shot to move from the have-not column to the have-more-than-I'd-ever-need column, it's all good.Even those knowing, willing, and able to fight for what society really needs, too often take their eye off the prize -- to recognize, what in mathematical terms, is called -- THE ORDER OF OPERATIONS:The horse that is needed to carry all the other needs in the cart is ELECTION REFORM -- public financing, increased voting opportunities, secure verifiable voting, etc..It doesn't matter which candidates or what legislation the public piles into the cart because there is nothing to carry it over the money barriers.Big Business money power fuels elections and re-elections. It buys the politicians and legislation they want. We're left holding the empty bag.The result is the economy we have today. Big Biz profits and the deficit are at an all-time high, real wages are at an all-time low, and public services are being cut.Not fixing the election systemand trying to get what you want out of governmentis like PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE!

Are Corporations Evil?
Are Corporations Evil?

I'd say corporations are an organized group of people too often doing evil deeds, motivated by money. Then, they go home, pet the dog and love their family like other people. At work it's only their stock price that matters. The team and investors are a mob pushing them to abandon principles to achieve competitive goals. The non-stock holders who get hurt are the collateral damage of their bunker-buster greed bomb.Unethical behavior is "normalized." Including taking risks with consumer's health and environment, covering up resulting disasters and scandals, shipping jobs overseas for slave wages and child labor, manipulating laws and legislation, etc..
