I'm sure we'd all rather be talking about new ideas than dealing with the ravings of a grown man who literally and figuratively needs his diaper changed every day. But if we step around it like the profit-prioritized media we'll be in it up to our necks before long. Until we can move on, let's contain his bullying and dictatorial stink in this thread so we can toss it like a doggy-bag when that bright newBlue day arrives. However, since I do believe we need a break from his name and brand, any typing of his name on this forum will be converted to "The Lyin' King"

Topics related to this administration, its policies, and all-the-king's-men and women should be directed to their own threads.

People tend to believe that every unprecedented move by the would-be Prez-a-King is intended to distract from his more insidious crimes. But despite the lack of journalistic scrutiny, the public is beginning to catch on to the bigger picture.

The thing this Prez cares about first and foremost is not being exposed to prosecution and potential prison time. To that end, he must stay in office, past the midterms, and beyond...

The military, the press, the courts and Congress are being groomed to protect him from, more than crimes past -- crimes to come -- including, not surrendering the White House when his gig is up.

Sure, the Lyin' King (or Prez-a-King, whichever you prefer) is prejudice against every category of human being that is not a white male. Actually, ANY human being that doesn't like and/or support him. But his bias won't stop him from hanging with Kanye or turning against the DC police if it's useful. His policies and relationships are purely transactional. If most Hispanics voted for him, he'd open the borders. If crime benefits him (as did the Jan 6 insurrection) he'd rationalize it and pardon the thugs. If peace can get him a Prize, he's for it, otherwise he'd risk a global war by dropping bombs on Iran and support the massacre of Palestinians to appease the interests of powerful political allies. He pretends to be an anti-abortion Christian for the same reason. In reality, he's not even a Republican. He's a Narcissistic Sociopath out for himself.

"Follow the money" is the traditional advice for figuring out the moves of politicians around the Monopoly board. The Top Hat, Battleship and Racing Car own Park Place. They routinely PASS GO and collect $200 (million or billion) from The Banker. The Boot & Wheelbarrow (working men), Iron & Thimble (working women), and Dog (natural world), are stuck on the 2 purple spaces.

Today, "follow the money" still applies. But, also, the dice are fixed and the guy rolling them is most interested in accumulating GET OUT OF JAIL FREE cards!

Reading between the Epstein card lines...

i didn't get why a bawdy birthday card to J Epstein garnering headlines and a billion dollar lawsuit. I considered it might be staged by the WSJ and Prez to distract the press and re-unify his base. But after a week, the truth clicked when i finally heard the 4 or 5 middle lines of the card that mainstream media had omitted in their reporting.

the complete contents of the card's message, though not legally incriminating, are embarrassing and damning

why was the mainstream news story half-baked? Because the bully tactics worked. News outlets didn't want to risk being next on the Prez's legal or personal hit list!

it doesn't matter that the Prez has no chance of winning his WSJ lawsuit. ABC, CBS, law firms and universities already settled nuisance lawsuits as the cost of doing business with the White House. This WSJ lawsuit goal was to swiftly silence other media outlets.

so add that to the BULLY BULL๐Ÿ’ฉ:

  1. attacking the press for asking hardball questions

  2. coining derogatory schoolyard nicknames for opponents, competitors, etc..

  3. supporting violence against protestors and calling in the military

  4. suing and/or threatening networks, newspapers, universities, etc..

but why do you think the Wall Street Journal took the risk of exposing the Prez?
(especially, given it's connection to News Corp/Rupert Murdoch/Fox News)

Who could possibly feel that the AI video of The President flying a jet dressed as a King flying over a protest dumping poop is an appropriate response to a peaceful protest of 7 million people? Imagine if Obama or Biden did something like this. The Republicans freaked out when Obama wore a beige suit. Do I agree with Trumps freedom to be able to post such a disgusting and churlish piece of ๐Ÿ’ฉ? Yep I sure do. Should this man-baby be our president? Absolutely not. The Speaker of the house, Mike Johnson needs to go too. Such a religious man with no morals whatsoever. He is the ventriloquist dummy, sitting on Trumps lap. All Americans should be appalled.

100%. But it's also true that THE LYIN' KING has been ๐Ÿ’ฉting on the American people every flipping day since this nightmare began. So, there was a bit of truth there in the AI depiction. Nothing THE LYIN' KING does shocks me anymore. What is a gut punch for me is all the people who support and enable the monster - my own brother. They are embracing fascism and helping kill our Democracy. The ๐Ÿ’ฉ is so deep now that America is gasping to breathe.

But i can also say that after protesting at No Kings in NC with my daughters, and feeling the beautiful enegy from so many trully good people, i have a renewed hope that good WILL triumph over evil and eventually the nightmare will end.

yes, as the conman himself said, "you knew I was a snake when you took me in." But i did think there were limits to how low Republican's in Congress would go. And now we know. As low as their base will allow. As deep as his colon will take them.

but there are signs that some of the base, draw an Epstein line. we'll see

Hi Susan. The protest was very uplifting. I have 2 daughters also and it was so good to be able to share the experience with them. You are correct, nothing THE LYINโ€™ KING does should shock me or any of us at this point. Itโ€™s hard to accept that so much has changed in such a short time. The families and friendships THE LYIN' KING has destroyed is one of the hardest things to accept. I canโ€™t imagine 3 more years of this but I have to believe good will triumph over evil and we will get through this. Hopefully we come out stronger. At least we have taught our children you have to fight for what you believe in and everyday be grateful for the freedoms we have.

Pentagon to use $130 million donation from anonymous THE LYIN' KING โ€˜friendโ€™ to pay military members.

The next step towards privatizing the U.S. military to serve a King and all the corporate royals who'll be dining in a golden ballroom at the White House.

and WhoTF among them is going to be ballroom dancing anyway?

I canโ€™t imagine much dancing going on, nor do I want to, ick. He has managed to alienate all our allies and even his dictator besties are turning their backs and doing exactly what they intended to do all along. The ballroom symbol should be ๐Ÿ–•. Itโ€™s a 230 million dollar FU to the American people. While he is doing whatever he damn well pleases, the government remains shut down and people are truly struggling. The most insane part is they still defend him. Maybe when they are starving, living in a cardboard box on the street reality will kick in.

i'm afraid the only dancing connected to that building is the spin they're doing about why it's being built. speculation is that, like everything else he does, its purpose is nefariously connected to building and protecting his kingdom.

his kingdom come
his will be done
on earth
because he'll get nowhere near heaven

the contractors have to sign No-Disclosure agreements
beneath the ballroom will be his bunker and headquarters when he moves on the constitution and against democracy

Insane indeed!

More than being insane, the rampant lunacy in America is (to me) tragic, depressing, and disheartening. I despair for the future of the U.S.A. I despise the terminal obtuseness and rock-ribbed obduracy of benighted MAGA sheep who, IMO, are incurable and beyond hope. Seems to me that comedian Ron White is correct . . .

Ahhh but, before someone can be educated, he/she must want to be educated.

As an inveterate and incurable cynic, I remain hopeless about not only educating The Irredeemably Intransigent in particular but also about the decline of education in America in general.

likewise, we can't help an adult addicted to drugs, alcohol, FOX News lies, etc.. if they don't want to be cured. BUT, we do educate children even though they don't want to be. So it gets back to raising children with proper education, and even more importantly, raising them to feel loved, valued, respected, and safe. Instead of fearful of everything and everybody.

i learned many of life's most important lessons by observing the accelerated life-cycle of cats. A kitten, nurtured by both humans and its mother, assimilates well with humans and other animals. A feral that struggles to survive is prone to fighting, competing, and ill temper. Most can still be turned into adoring companions, appreciative and reciprocative of affection -- but will remain hostile to "others" and "outsiders."

Moral of the story:
Today's Republicans needed wet food and a tongue licking (not lashing) when they were young. Now, it's too late to change their stripes, but turning off FOX News might make them sociable and manageable again. Like they were in the Nixon, Reagan, and George H. Bush years.

You can fix stupid with education but this administration is doing everything in its power to destroy our education system. They want children that are uneducated, and uninformed. This way they can mold their minds to believe anything they want them to. Adding religion into a classroom setting will inevitably make things much worse. Children need to be taught from a very young age how to treat people, how to have and show compassion and have the courage to speak up when they see something wrong. Home life is going to be more important than ever before. Growing up is not going to be easy for this generation of kids and young adults. Actually, itโ€™s not going to be easy on any of us.

I propose that we need to examine the underlying causes as to how we find ourselves in this situation and in doing so, it's fairly clear that it's a culmination of a multitude of factors that date back to the establishment of this country. The authors of the Constitution obviously could not foresee the tremendous growth to the west coast and beyond as well as the technological advances that make the Second-Amendment obsolete along with the developments in transportation, medical science, industry, and communication among others. The growth in the number of states skews the power to the smaller ones in both the Senate and Electoral College. The separation of powers requires both self-discipline and independence from the other branches in order to fulfill the mission of a democratic republic. Fast forward to today and those walls of separation are largely broken when you have a Congress and a Supreme Court that capitulates to the whims of an authoritarian bordering on a full-blown dictator. THE LYIN' KING v. The United States may be the worst Supreme Court ruling in my lifetime, if not in the last 150 years because it exonerates any president for actions they take while in office, legal or not. With some 40% of the voters, a majority on the Court, and a gerrymandered majority in both houses firmly behind this unintended atrocity, I submit that a planned and civil separation may be the only viable solution. It's one of the only points I may find myself agreeing with Marjorie Taylor Greene on. Ignoring climate change and gun violence while censoring books and muzzling teachers in schools, and failing to act on income inequality and lack of healthcare while we fund a military to the tune of nearly $1 trillion, among others, is not rational nor viable. THE LYIN' KING's election is a manifestation of all of our prior and current shortcomings and a new nation, either fully independent or quasi independent of the current United States, likely needs to be formulated.

"Proper education" is a loaded, subjective, and contentious perspective. Define your terms. Is a "proper education" the three Rs: Readin', Ritin', and 'Rithmetic? Beyond inculcating those basic skills, be prepared to do battle with opponents of "Woke" brainwashing and "Librull" propaganda.

I think that Ignorance (lack of knowledge and information) can be fixed. Ditto Dumbness (lack of Intelligence). Stupidity (lack of sense and reason, being foolish), I aver, is grounded in willful and defiant obstinacy.

Color me Pessimistic.

But as I see the current state of affairs, blue-collar Red State Republicans, Conservatives, and MAGAts deeply and bitterly resent being "educated" and "enlightened" by snooty, supercilious, and condescending white-collar and no-collar Blue State "Elitists" (Paging Deplorables Hater Hillary Clinton!) . . . who need to communicate with "The Great Unwashed" in ways that do not trigger and alienate them and incite them to go on the warpath.
