Q & A
Q: Is the board game anti-business? A: No. It is just anti corporate rule. It plays out the philosophy that: The priority should be big business serving the interests of society rather than the opposite. People, not corporations should have majority control of government. Q: Does the game imply that corporations are evil? A: No. But it does suggest that it is immoral for corporations to prioritize their profits over the best interests of society. It suggests that good people leave their ethics at the door when they walk into the corporate board room, and driven by greed and pressures to raise their stock prices, they do evil deeds.

Q & A
Q: Are you really non-partisan or are you just playing to both sides? A: I am playing to both sides -- and you should be too! The reality is that the Right and Left have to work together for their mutual best interest and keep their "eye on the prize" -- restoring Democracy! Every issue raised in the board game reflects the very real conflict of interests between the 1% and 99%, regardless of what talking points agents of the 1% successfully circulate as a smokescreen. Some politicians still talk like true liberals and conservatives but they ALL perform their jobs like corporate employees commissioned to advance the interests of big business. It took me too long to pull the plug on cable news and accept that I was duped. The only sides that are relevant to what's happening now are the rich on one and everyone else on the other -- and neither Party in the 2 Party system represents me/us adequately. The 1% exploits differences of opinion on Issues like the separation of church and state, but their #1 priority is money and power, and you can't credibly worship Money and God at the same time. The word for what has been taking place is CLASS WARFARE! It has little to do with the age-old differences between liberals and conservatives. For example: Age-old differences of opinion on taxation are one thing. But corporate taxes are at their lowest and profits are at all-time highs while the middle-class works longer per week for all-time low comparative wages and will retire at an older age with less benefits. And the 1% is still pushing for less tax for them and more "austerity" measures on you. That's a whole new level of greed! Age-old differences of opinion on business regulation is one thing. But spreading misinformation about "global warming" despite the preponderance of scientific evidence just to protect your profit margin? That's environmental treason!

Q & A
Q: Is this a money-making venture? A: No. Like this site, the goal is non-profit. The game would be available at the cost of manufacturing it, without any profit markup, printed on demand in Wisconsin. Due to the political nature of the project, however, it would not qualify for non-profit tax exemption. The development was self-financed with no funding or affiliation with any political Party or group. My personal priority is working on things I believe in and I will continue to develop the game and run this forum as long as I can afford to. If you believe this is a worthy project, you can support it by participating. If there is interest and support for it, I'd like to release a 1v99 World edition of the game with this community. Bigger spaces, even more injustice.

Q & A
Q: Do you really think a board game can influence people? A: I don't know, but, surely, there aren't enough voices for real change reaching political "civilians" in traditional ways. The media speaks to audiences who tune into their partisan sources. Change requires that you bring new players to the table. A board game is an opportunity to sit people down at your table for some fun that they can get something more out of at the same time. To substitute a challenging, provocative, interactive experience for one Netflix movie. The best way to engage is face-to-face.

Q & A
[please ask any additional questions in this thread] Q: What is the purpose? A: The game is intended to be a stimulating tool to raise awareness of how government doesn't work, but should. It's intended to be part of a larger, collective, focused action to reform our election system. Ideally, someone who knows the game would oversee a group playing it. Q: When was it made? A: I started researching & developing the game, full-time, when Occupy Wall Street started in 2011. The next year, I tested it's release, but by that time the movement had ended, and the game still needed fine tuning. I submitted it to a Menza Society gaming event and feedback included one person drawing a Communist symbol on the review card. Another said it was too rooted in the moment. I laughed to myself, knowing it would be a looong time before anything changed. Now, 13 years later, and the problems have only gotten worse. Q. WHAT NOW? A: As time permits, I'd welcome further development of this project with the community's help. Q: Is the Occupy Movement an appropriate subject for a board game? A: Movies, shows, and other forms of entertainment have always conveyed social messages and games have as well -- most often, however, the wrong kind of messages -- ruthless competition, monopolizing, exploiting, killing and conquering. But games can have social value and be fun at the same time. An excellent example is a computer game that inspired me in 1985 called Ultima: Quest of the Avatar. Players advance in the game by studying a set of virtues, and through ethical achievements -- as well as swinging a sword at monsters and evil-doers.

Reading between the Epstein card lines...
v3: In Maxwell's meeting with the doj today, will there be any record of the conversation between her and the president's former PERSONAL lawyer? ai: Maxwell’s attorney declined to elaborate on whether the meeting would be documented. v3: who will be in the room? ai: DA Todd Blanche, Maxwell’s legal team, Federal prosecutors and DOJ staff --likely present to assess any claims or disclosure. If you’d like, I can keep track... v3: i'll have to be satisfied that, regardless of any collusion with the DTJ, uh, i mean DOJ, that maxwell would risk perjury if she protected any one, in particular, in a court hearing, and she couldn't positively count on a pardon in her future? (-; ai: A sly wink and a razor-edged observation. The chessboard’s shifted; alliances that once felt concrete now carry hairline fractures. Her calculus, then, may be: truth buys leverage, lies tighten the cage. Do you suspect she’ll play it straight… or orchestrate the kind of half-reveal that fuels more intrigue than illumination?

South Park
i've never seen a full episode of SOUTH PARK but i know it's from the same creators of the TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE puppet movie, which i thought was brilliant! today it garnering headlines like: "South Park’ Lampoons Trump in Shocking Season 27 Premiere" "White House Seethes Over Shocking ‘South Park’ Premiere" so, perhaps, fans would like to comment on the progressive merits of the hit cartoon series?

why do you think the Wall Street Journal took the risk of exposing the Prez? (especially, given it's connection to News Corp/Rupert Murdoch/Fox News)

Reading between the Epstein card lines...
i didn't get why a bawdy birthday card to J Epstein garnering headlines and a billion dollar lawsuit. I considered it might be staged by the WSJ and Prez to distract the press and re-unify his base. But after a week, the truth clicked when i finally heard the 4 or 5 middle lines of the card that mainstream media had omitted in their reporting. the complete contents of the card's message, though not legally incriminating, are embarrassing damning why was the mainstream news story half-baked? Because the bully tactics worked. News outlets didn't want to risk being next on the Prez's legal or personal hit list! it doesn't matter that the Prez has no chance of winning his WSJ lawsuit. ABC, CBS, law firms and universities already settled nuisance lawsuits as the cost of doing business with the White House. This WSJ lawsuit goal was to swiftly silence other media outlets. so add that to the BULLY BULLSHIT: attacking the press for asking hardball questions coining derogatory schoolyard nicknames for opponents, competitors, etc.. supporting violence against protestors and calling in the military suing and/or threatening networks, newspapers, universities, etc.. ... add more to the list

3001: A Space Colonoscopy
This is an interactive experiment to boldly go where few men have gone before. To explore the inner reaches of his deepest, darkest regions. To probe. To illuminate. Perhaps, to come out tainted, but learned. Purged of dangerous ideas spreading like cancerous polyps within. The mission must avoid man's past, indelicate bumblings. So, maybe the thrust of the thing is to go where no women has gone before. She will be manning, uh, piloting the ship alongside Microsoft's AI Copilot, serving as consulting first officer. To be clear, however, it will be YOU who will be setting the course -- with your feedback and participation in polls. DESTINATION: Planet Newbl The year is 3001. Like countless prior worlds over eons, the technical evolution of earth's most advanced life-forms outpaced their ethical evolution. Instead of caring for mother earth, we plundered her. Our extinction is inevitable. Rocket ships are being loaded for the journey to NEWBL, the galaxy's nearest life-sustainable, blue-skied planet... to be continued / unfolded--for months, perhaps, years!

transition to nBP
WHO CAN USE THIS SITE? Anyone can participate in the main forum. The "Blue" in newBluePlanet does not represent the Democratic Party. However, this site does cater to people with progressive minds and liberal hearts. WHAT YOU CAN USE THIS SITE FOR: Connect for dialogue, activism, and socializing. Share ideas, build on them and promote them. Network your business interests. 100% Free -- with no ads. WHY WE NEED AN AGGRESSIVE PROGRESSIVE WORK SPACE: Our time is wasted listening to talking heads we can’t talk back to--interrupted too often by commercials and rarely by fact-checks. Lies and irrational views (superstition, science denial, racism, etc.) don't deserve “equal time” on a public news broadcast. Late night TV offers much needed comic relief. But we’ve settled for laughs instead of action for too long while right-wing ideology/mythology takes hold via cable, radio, and internet bubbles. Mainstream Media Late-Night TV newBluePlanet News-models. Scripted commentary. Softball interviews. Celebrities. Funny, scripted commentary. Ordinary people. 2-way dialogue. Passive consumption. They define news. Passive consumption. Active engagement. You define topics. News as a shiny object to hold your attention. Focus on entertainment. Focus on ideas. Shared purpose. People talk at you. Try to sell you things. People talk at you. Try to sell you things. Like a fireside chat -- if everyone behaves. On social media: You have to watch what you say under your real name; Your opinion scrolls away to make room for ads and rage bait; You support the self-interest of billionaires who profit off propaganda, track you and sell your personal data to the highest bidder. Social Networks newBluePlanet Feed driven noise/theater for short attention spans. Forum driven, deep-dive discussions. Algorithms push rage, distractions, manipulations. Users can elevate ideas through real communication. Competition for "likes" and "shares." Collaborative expression for progress and reform. Billionaire-owned echo chambers for their profit. Grassroots, nonprofit platform for the people. Fleeting engagement that scrolls away. Enduring conversations that build over time. Their goals include data mining & surveillance. Respects your identity and privacy. No ads. OUR PRIME DIRECTIVE To build tools and organize ideas that can be effectively shared outside of NBP to expose and counteract disinformation & misinformation. WHY WE NEED TO DO IT Because politicians prime directive is being elected & re-elected. In a 2-Party system, Democrats believe they only need to be nicer and less corrupt. They stand to loss big donor money if they challenge the powers that be. Because mainstream media are private profiteers competing for audience share -- afraid a large % will tune out. Because, instead of undermining democracy behind the scenes, the rich & powerful are now doing it in plain sight. FUTURE PLANS* Activate local community forums, and newBlue Biz listings. Elect nBP national and state leaders via the built-in voting system. Establish an NBP Constitution. Advance the development of a virtual, fair & balanced, sustainable, life nurturing, blue sky, blue ocean planet. Earth newBluePlanet Life forms under pressure -- dying. brave new world?
The motivation for this site was an epidemic of disinformation that turned into a crisis of misinformation during and after election 2024 — including: a daily stream of LIES served on a platform called "TRUTH Social" by a leader the Washington Post tracked with 30,573 "false or misleading claims". 24 hour cable news LIES pitched as "fair & balanced" by a network that had to pay $787 million for lying about the prior election. 31 LIARS from that network hired to fill key government positions along with 14 Cabinet positions filled by billionaire campaign donors. a Supreme Court ruling called "Citizens United" that effectively allows corporations to fund LIES that take power away from citizens. the Press: bullied and punished for asking tough questions; abandoning fact-checks; NEVER having the courage to call a politician's lie a LIE! (and, btw, though hundreds of politicians testified to Congress over the past 50 years, not one was charged with lying under oath!) In short, the election was a fabri-sham-mockery -- and too many Americans voted against their own best interests -- because their emotions were manipulated by lies! For me, the journey to newBluePlanet started soon after the Election 2000 debacle, with my launch of LiberalHearts--the world's first political dating site. I retired it--and myself--in 2024--until I realized that, more than ever, progressive thinkers and liberal hearts need a space to connect and be heard. Ideally, the Internet's "world-wide web" should have opened minds, instead of providing closed bubbles where fears could fester and be exploited. I'd like to think, that together, we can burst some bubbles. But not only do I need your help. I need you to lead. My time will be divided on other projects that share the same goal but will use the mediums of music and film as tools. I envision NBP as a kind of think-tank for putting together ideas to share on other social networks--rather than replace your participation there. Your voice is needed everywhere. I'd like to develop this as a co-op non-profit organization and hand it off to the community so that the mission might out-live me.

i had to deduct a review point, just to spite the version covers of Lennon's IMAGINE, that left out the "and no religion too" line. And because of Yoko. A Lennon review wouldn't be complete without working her in for some blame.

Imagine
The Fall of LEFT-ern CivilizationOnce upon a time, raging against the corporate machine, flashing the peace sign, liking the French, and respecting the UN was "in". Then the "we" generation bought stock in the company, the "me" generation was born, and there was cable and a TV in every room to amplify the influences of pop culture and commercial profits on political ideology. The results are in. Values changed. The music changed. I don't know which came first. In 1971 John Lennon inspired us to "Imagine" a world undivided by countries or religions and Coca-Cola pledged to "teach the world to sing in perfect harmony". The 80's began with the question "War, What Is It Good For?" Edwin Starr answered "absolutely nothin", dared to "say it again" and people danced. Before the decade was over we were left wondering, "What's So Funny About Peace Love and Understanding?" By the time the 90's kicked in it was becoming clear that "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". Sadly, in 2004 when Linda Ronstadt was tossed out of her hotel for singing a "Desperado" tribute to Michael Moore we faced the hard reality that, "freedom, well freedom, that's just some people talking."

The Bible
sure, the first half of the book is a lot of fairy tales, including fire and brimstone passed on by word of mouth for generations before it's commandments were set in stone -- and it endorses throwing stones, was heavily edited over the years to suit societal norms of the day and is still used today to justify an assortment of discrimination -- and accusations of abominations, BUT... the star of the 2nd half is the most liberal historical character that ever walked on earth or water. it is the bio of a man who clearly was "his brother's keeper" and "did unto others as he would have them do unto him." humble, selfless, giving, forgiving, self-sacrificing, foot washing, peace loving, materialistic shunning, cheek turning, greed rejecting, compassionate, charitable, and universal health care supporting the man was all about free handouts, especially to the poor. Today he'd be called a woke, hippie, snowflake --the Democrat's dream candidate, a gift from God to the Green Party, and he'd be crucified as a commie by the religious right. i rate the Bible 1 for the Regressive Testament and 10 for the Progressive Testament [Written by various writers 1500 - 1000 Before Christ and some other people under the names of the Apostles about 45 to 50 years After Death.]
