WHY WE NEED AN AGGRESSIVE PROGRESSIVE WORK SPACE:
Our time is wasted listening to talking heads we can’t talk back to--interrupted too often by commercials and rarely by fact-checks. Lies and irrational views (superstition, science denial, racism, etc.) don't deserve “equal time” on a public news broadcast.
Late night TV offers much needed comic relief. But we’ve settled for laughs instead of action for too long while right-wing ideology/mythology takes hold via cable, radio, and internet bubbles.

WHY WE NEED TO DO IT
Because politicians prime directive is being elected & re-elected. In a 2-Party system, Democrats believe they only need to be nicer and less corrupt. They stand to loss big donor money if they challenge the powers that be.
Because mainstream media are private profiteers competing for audience share -- afraid a large % will tune out.
Because, instead of undermining democracy behind the scenes, the rich & powerful are now doing it in plain sight.
